The Association of Banks in Bulgaria (ABB) published its quarterly information with key highlights on the economy and the banking sector in Bulgaria for the second quarter of 2017, part of the publications, which the ABB has started since the beginning of this year.
They analyze the most important macroeconomic indicators as GDP, inflation, labour market, key indicators for the external and public sectors and the capital market in Bulgaria.
The main focus in the publications is the banking system. The publications discuss key balance sheet items and key positions from the statement of profit or loss on a system level, as well as the dynamics of financial indicators as capital adequacy, liquidity and profitability. The loan and deposit amounts and the changes in the interest rates are also included.
The publications include comparisions between key macroeconomic indicators and key indicators for the banking system in Bulgaria and the average for the European Union and the euro area.
The publications are prepared by the Banking Policy and Analyses Division at the ABB and are published both in Bulgarian and in English. The information is published in the section “The banking system” on the ABB website.
