Mrs. Tsvetanka Mintcheva was re-elected as Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors of ABB and Mr. Christof De Mil joined the team
At the ABB General Assembly held on May 28, 2025, Ms. Tsvetanka Mintcheva, CEO of UniCredit Bulbank, was re-elected as Deputy Chairperson of the Executive Board of ABB. She began her career at UniCredit Bulbank as an intern in 2001. Over the years, she has held various commercial and management positions. Since September 2013, she has been the Director of Retail Banking and a member of the Management Board at UniCredit Bulbank. She contributes and has a leading role in the development of retail banking, as well as in the implementation of innovations in various areas of the bank. From March 2020 to June 2021, she held the position of Deputy CEO of UniCredit Bank Romania. Since September 2021, she has been CEO and Chairperson of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank.
Mr. Christof De Mil, Country Team Manager of KBC Group in Bulgaria, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of UBB, was elected as a new member of the Association’s Executive Board for a three-year term.
Christof De Mil began his career at KBC in 1995, holding various positions as a branch manager and regional manager. His international career began with CSOB Czech Republic as Executive Director “Retail Banking”. He joined the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian bank of KBC Group in 2011 and over the years has led various areas – “Retail Banking”, “Small and Medium Enterprises” and “Information Technology”. In 2017, he became Chief Financial Officer of UBB and the first innovation leader of KBC Group in Bulgaria. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics (Ghent University) and an MBA (INSEAD).
At the General Assembly of ABB’s Executive Board, Mr. Nikola Bakalov, CEO of First Investment Bank, Mr. Sava Stoynov, CEO of Central Cooperative Bank and Mr. Georgi Zamanov, CEO of Allianz Bank Bulgaria were re-elected for a new three-year term.
