The sixth edition of the traditional Winter Ski Fest for Bankers and Partners was held from March, 16th to March 19th, 2017 in Borovets Ski Resort, Bulgaria. The tournament was organized by the Bulgarian Worker’s Federation ”Sport and Health” in cooperation with the Association of Banks in Bulgaria. It welcomed 110 participants from 14 banks and partnering companies.

The representatives of Piraeus Bank, Central Cooperative Bank, Allianz Bank Bulgaria, United Bulgarian Bank, First Investment Bank, Bulgarian Development Bank, Eurobank Bulgaria, Municipal Bank and Bulgarian National Bank competed in ski and snowboard giant and parallel giant slalom.

In the final ranking in the giant slalom for men under the age of 45 the team of First Investment Bank team won the golden medals, while the silver medals went to Allianz Bank Bulgaria and the debutant team of Paysafe Bulgaria took the third place.

In the men’s age group above 45 Bulgarian Development Bank took the first palce, followed by Allianz Bank Bulgaria and the Bulgarian National Bank.

In the women’s gigantic slalom – age under 45 First Investment Bank reached the top of giant slalom again and left behind the Bulgarian Development Bank’s team, and the United Bulgarian Bank team took the bronze.

The men’s snowboard giant slalom top was occupied by Piraeus Bank, followed by United Bulgarian Bank and First Investment Bank. In the snowboard giant slalom the First Investment Banks’ ladies team defended its title for third consecutive year, Paysafe Bulgaria placed second and Central Cooperative Bank’s team finished third.

Mr. Iliya Kirchev – Board Member and Executive Director of Bulgarian Development Bank, Mr. Rosen Stanimirov – Executive Director of Allianz Bank Bulgaria, Mr. Lyubomir Punchev – Executive Director of Piraeus Bank, Mrs. Kalina Ivanova – representative of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria and Mrs. Desislava Yagodin, President of Bulgarian Worker’s Federation ”Sport and Health” and Vice-President of the International Workers and Amateurs in Sport Confederation (CSIT) attended the official ceremony and rewarded the winners.
